I’m a wedding photographer based in Ottawa, Canada, with more than a decade of experience and a serious weakness for margaritas, travel, and good stories.

I’ve photographed weddings around the world, sometimes without sharing a language with the people in front of my camera. It taught me to pay attention, adapt quickly, and figure things out.

I care deeply about the photographs. I just don’t think your wedding needs to feel like a photoshoot to get great ones.

So I offer one simple full-day rate. Get me for the morning chaos, the ceremony, the portraits, dinner, the dance floor—or all of the above.

Sophie is amazing. As a bride, I was stressed already. As a COVID bride, I was a mess. Sophie not only rolled with it but was so encouraging and excited to jump right in. Even more, shortly after our wedding my grandfather died and Sophie was the holder of the last images of him. Before delivering the gallery to us she separated the photos of him in a different section so we did not have to look at them if we were not ready and it was just the kindest thing and we appreciate that more than words can say. If you want someone who cares, is willing to try whatever photos or poses you want, and just be an all around bubbly personality that seamlessly blends into your family then you need to book Sophie right now.

There wasn't anyone else I could imagine trusting to capture such an important day. My husband and I chose to elope in Tuscany, Italy. Organizing it was chaotic, but Sophie was an imperative part of the process.Sophie was with us for the entire week, and while she may have come on the trip as our photographer, she left as everyone's friend too. She was a delight from start to finish.She helped direct us on where to find the best lighting, and gave our group prompts to help us capture the moment. She even managed to wrangle our rowdy groomsmen into formal portraits.Sophie sent us a few sneak peaks the next day, and I bawled. The photos were so much more than what I had dreamed of. I've never felt so beautiful in my life.There aren't enough words in the world to properly thank you for this experience. Where to begin!!!! Sophie was very responsive and professional from the get-go, we met virtually for the first time and she was able to answer our (many) questions. We planned to have a destination wedding, and knowing Sophie had experience working abroad definitely gave us peace of mind. Both my Husband and I always wanted film photos done for our wedding and she was more than excited to shoot some film for us! Sophie captured our day so perfectly. She understood exactly what we were looking for in terms of style of photos, and even exceeded our expectations.
