Maicel + Raz
I had the pleasure of second shooting along with Leesa Watson for Direct Your Focus for this amazing wedding!
These two started their days off in style. The boys got ready at the groom’s sister’s home where they enjoyed food drinks and laughs. Custom flasks were gifted to the groomsmen, which is always a well received gift if you were in the market to spoil your wedding party! The boys took off to the church in a Limo - where they played good tunes and - surprise! - stopped at LCBO on the way where they got Hennessy and champagne to toast the start of Raz’s marriage! They filled up their flasks and were on their way.
The ceremony took place at Saint Isidore Roman Catholic Parish in Kanata. Raz and Maicel tied in some beautiful traditions with rope as well as catholic vows and a candle lighting ceremony done by the couple’s mothers. Surrounded by friends and family, they said I d and happy walked down the aisle.
Portraits were done at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau where we got the beautiful view of Parliament, the Ottawa river and the picturesque grounds of the museum. These two were so in love and sweet, they couldn’t stop smiling and made our jobs that much easier to do. Along with Long N Media, we were able to capture their big day in a beautiful setting!
Their reception was at Sala Gatineau where staff bedecked the hall in beautiful decor. With a sweetheart table fit for royalty, they were definitely the centre of attention for the night. With an open bar, an MC and DJ to rock the walls, the dance floor was full all night long! They even changed outfits for a Money Dance - a tradition from the Philippines where the couple slow dances while friends and family pin cash to their outfits.
What a beautiful day for this sweet couple! Scroll down for vendor tags - these vendors did amazing jobs!
